This entire series of books is just wonderful. My kids can look at them over and over. Written on a level that kids can enjoy at many stages of development. Beautiful pictures and easy-to-understand content.

Basically includes animal and plant life from forests, grasslands, deserts, the tundra, and bodies of water. Lots of fantastic photos, as well as little stories about Pooh and his friends at the beginning of each section. It's full of facts, but the pictures are the best part.We already have Disney " Winnie the Pooh " Animal Encyclopedia, so my son received this for a present.If you like magazines like Wild Animal Baby or Your Big Backyard, then you will love this!
This book was purchased a couple years ago for my little grand daughter who is now 2 1/2. I have been amazed at how it holds her attention. She can name most of the creatures. I would recommend this for ages up until they can read well. As a grandmother who was also a teacher, I saw many ways that this was a book that educates. It is not preachy but happy and informative, I even learned some things myself! The binding has held up though she managed to rip a couple pages. I'm now looking around to see if there are similar books. I haven't even seen school text books that were this nice. Since electronic gadgets are distracting to many youngsters now, it is good when a book is so appealing.
