Our review in short.For anyone expecting the insider jokes, biting wit and charm that is Wendy W. in person, and on her talk show,unfortunately this book is NOT a reflection of any of that.I planned to give this as a gift to a friend who really likes WW, but the book was so awful and so poorly written, that i threw it out. -I guess it was kind of a collection or reprint of stories she has already discussed, but the book is illegible.And I got this book on sale for less-than a $1dollar and that was still way, way too much.Now, i'm pretty sure that at the time this book was published W. W. could afford to have one of her staff writers help with the organization and overall content of the book, as obviously the editors at publishing simply didn't care enough to bother, but I guess she didn't either... So straight to the trash it went! -Meh.Overall this book is so bad it makes those old cheap grocery tabloids look like fine reading.Don't waste your time or money on this awful, awful book.Our grade: F-!, or (less than) ZEROStars!

If you're a fan of Wendy and her show, then you knew that this book was coming and you knew what it was going to be about. Chock full of "gossip," Ms. Williams does a great job of putting her radio show to print. Readers will be pleased to know that all of Wendy's favorite topics are covered; from Baby Momma Drama to "How You Doin'?....." Some of Wendy's most controversial interviews are covered in the book, but I found the most interesting to be the one with Misa Hylton-Brim--Puffy's first "baby momma."I liked the book and it was certainly a quick read, but solid Wendy fans like myself may be somewhat disappointed; you will find most if not all of what is covered within the pages to be regurgitated information. BUT--if you missed the MHB interview, you'll find it here. If you missed World's perspective on homosexuality and the music industry, you'll also find that here. And if you are one of the few remaining people on earth who did NOT hear that ridiculously raw Whitney Houston interview, all is not lost---Wendy has included it here also.Looking forward to the next book, Wendy (will there be one?)...; but PLEASE reserve some of your future juicy gossip just for the book. That way your regular fans will get some new "scandalosity" between its pages also.DYB

Waste of money. I purchased three of her books. Not impressed, and I actually like her, and watch her show. She is somewhat full of herself, and puts on airs, the coy smile, the fakeness, but I find her intriguing. Can you believe his woman is worth 6 million dollars??? What a hustler, you got to give her respect for that!

I love Wendy Williams but this book is so self-serving I vouldnt even get through it. Don't waste your money.

I've never listened to this woman's show, so was unfamiliar with it. The first part of the book is a lot about people I don't know since I'm not in the 'scene' and familiar with a lot of current artist/music. However, I did agree a lot with some of her interviews and her advice and what seemed to be a solid morale fiber.

Bought this for my daughter

I love Wendy I enjoy her show. She is a kind woman. I respect that in a show host . SheIs a great entertainer.

Biggest disappointment ever in a trilogy or series. I have no idea what happened between book 2 and 3 in the authors personal life but “damn son”. Or maybe he just phoned it in. Book 1 and 2 were awesome, simply awesome, then came this book. You literally don’t need to read the first 20% of the book, it’s fluff and doesn’t do anything except make you want to give up on reading on. If the first 2 books weren’t so great I would have. Anyway it takes forever to get going and when it does, this amazingly complex world that has been painstakingly build in the previous novels is so completely under-utilized. Total bummer.....

The story line with Rukh and the First Father was too drawn out, the choices the characters make aren't logical i.e. continuously walking down dark deserted alleys even though they are constantly used as the stage for some new attack or murder. Rukh learned a talent that could hurt the Sorrow Bringer, and is friends with animals who have the ability to teach anyone another person's talent, but insteaf of spreading the knowledge and letting the entire city shoot her in the face with a Bow, they just keep fighting with swords and fireballs smh. Not very well thought out

This was an amazing book and a wonderful trilogy! It should have much more recognition. The book has all the good qualities of previous books and even more. The only point I didn't like was how it ended: some kind of sacrifice was expected, but in the end they survived and became existences of a higher plane of existence. But in the end the execution of the idea was good enough. Some events seemed a bit rushed.But in the end I really liked the book and the overall story. I consider it to be one of the best series I have even read and definitely recommend reading.

Great potential, but kind of wimped out in the end. Focused a lot on feelings and less on battles. When will they learn.........

What was built so strongly in the first two acts falls on its face when the rug is yanked out from under the story by a literal Deus Ex finale. Incredible tension had been built, and the stage was set for a powerful decision / sacrifice, when the author suddenly blinked. A shame - it was looking so wonderful to that point.

I had a few friends with synesthesia growing up, and hearing them describe how they saw the world was fascinating. I have a math/science background, and Daniel Tammet has always intrigued me. After finding this book for my kindle, I was quite excited to read it. I really enjoyed reading this book for the first few chapters. It was intriguing, compelling, and absolutely fascinating how Tammet describes how his mind works. What follows was not so fascinating. After the hook, Tammet pretty much goes through his life growing up, but to me it came off as almost an emotionless list of events. I did this. Then this happened. I did that. The events didn't feel particularly coherent and there seemed to be a lack of explanation of how the things that he did and the things occurring around him had any significant impact on anything at all. It was like providing a connect the dots picture of his life, but without connecting the dots. I fell disinterested and left it half read.My sister read was reading this book at the same time I did and loved it. She found it fascinating and compelling in its entirety.Summary: This book isn't for everyone. Make sure to give it a try if you're interested in Savant-ism, Aspergers, or Synesthesia. It's a different kind of beast altogether.

Autobiographies are often less than compelling, but this one is unusual. Daniel Tammet is unusual, and that's the reason primarily, but also his journey thru life and the way he's adapted while bearing the weight of autism and it's ant-social inclinations is quite stirring. It's hard to say if his unusually rare abilities stemmed from his near-death seizure attack at age four, along with other seizures around that time of his youth, but regardless of the source of his mental powers, there's no doubt that he indeed has serious cognitive abilities that are unique to himself alone. There's other savants in the world, but I've never read a book that they've written, primarily because most of them aren't able to do something like author a book, let alone travel around the world and speak to audiences of hundreds to sometimes thousands about the nature of cognitive perceptions and in particular offering new ways to see how tasks can be approached. His synesthesia, or "linked-sensorial" thinking allows his mental gymnastics with numbers, which is impressive, but equally impressive is his linguistic abilities, as he has fluency in at least ten languages including Icelandic dialect which does not have its roots in latin or Greek as most Eurpean languages do. Being able to converse in a foreign language after a mere week of study on that language is nothing short of genius in my estimation, and when combined with his prodigious mathematical abilities, like reciting 22,514 decimal places of the value of Pi in one continuous 5 hour plus sitting on "Pi Day" at Oxford University in Cambridge, and seeing numerical solutions in a dance of colors and shapes and textures all add up to a super special character that is an ongoing source of much interest to many professional minds around the globe. Able to sustain a loving relationship with another person as well makes Daniel a gifted and very special individual who has much to give to the world at large. I only wish the tale didn't end so quickly, since I was mesmerized by his personality and his benign ways, and the humility that characterizes him in all that he does. Highly recommend this book, and also recommend googling him on youtube to listen to the cadence and the sureness of his demeanor after you've comprehended the essence of his capabilities. It's all very impressive stuff, really.

I have to say that this book isn't one that I would yell out "It made me laugh! It made me cry! I was moved!" Instead, I was drawn in by the honesty and straigtforward way it was written. I'm not usually a fan of non-fiction. I like my reads to be mind candy as I use reading as escapism from real life. This book did suck me in, but for different reasons.It's amazing to have someone speak so candidly about their past, thoughts, dreams, relationships. This book gave me a whole new perspective -- not only on the way an autistic person sees things, but also on how different people live their lives. Daniel has an amazing mind. It's fascinating to hear about how it works. I found it equally fascinating to hear about the people he has relationships with, specifically his boyfriend, parents and sibblings, because they seem to be equally extraordinary people too.Thank you Daniel for sharing yourself with us. I would (and have!) recommended this book to friends and family.

It amazes me how Daniel Tammet sees numbers as colors and shapes. I read the whole book in one session.Read this book if you are looking to be inspired and are looking to explore new perspectives of people with disabilities and how they see the world.I find it interesting how he can describe his mathematical abilities so clearly.

The edition I recieved was full of numerous small errors. However I found the book having appropriate depth for a paramedic Anatomy and Physiology class except that book would often mention anatomic structures and not have them labeled in accompanied pictures. Glossery needs to be significantly expanded. Internet content was not available. My instructor communicated with the publisher who notified us the Internet content was delayed and would be available shortly after our class ended. So that sucked.

Compared to other text books on the subject, this book is crazy small/ thin. When I originally got the package I chuckled. I ended up deciding to take A&P through another provider, and returned the book. I am still blown away at how small the "textbook" was. If you are expecting a full-sized medical textbook, this isn't one. Other than that, I cannot attest to the content as I returned it immediately and went with a different provider.

Excellent textbook I purchased from a private seller on Amazon. I have found that purchasing pre owned texts from others has saved me a large amount of money. Anyone looking for a prehospital anatomy book, this is one that simply can't be beat! Any book from the AAOS is undoubtedly a valued source for accurate information

I bought this slightly used. Other then a couple of words written it it, it was practically new. I have an older edition and this newer one has more information and is organized slightly differently. Glad I got it.

Do not use! Words are mixed up and misspelled throughout, and the Anatomy is straight up wrong! Look at the cover, it's completely backwards! How can you take this book seriously??

Fast shipping as promised!!! The book was in shrink wrap which indicated that it is a new book. So far the book looks good and the code for navigate 2 is present. Thank you!
