My 7 and 9 year old boys love this book. They are constantly telling us "useless" facts that they learned from this book. I wouldn't call it useless at all---in fact, they have learned a ton.

Saw this book while touring a museum and thought it would make a great birthday gift for my husband. It did and he is learning all sorts of wacky information to share with our groups since we are professional tour leaders. Book was received on time and in perfect condition.

This was a gift. The person receiving it is a useless info buff! He keeps calling me (long distance) and reading pages to me!!

It is absolutely useless information...until you know how to use it. I've already quoted it at least 4 times to my students, about random things that came up in discussion. Use it to push people to learn more about esoteric topics. And read it just to have a bit of fun.

I just got this book and I absoluty LOVE IT!!! it is bigger than I thought and the quality is AMAZING., the drawings inside are really well made and the pages are really strong and sturdy. love the story behind it and I cannot wait to read it to my 4 year old. He is such a Washington Capitals fan. All his life is about hockey and about Oshie and Ovie. He is having a 4th bday party and of course his theme is hockey. He is not a good sleeper, I am hopeing this book will help him go to sleep in a good mood and relaxed after reading a story about his passion and looking at these amazing illustrations and really vibrant colors.I didn't know it was a sports illustrated book. I am really pleased. The story is about hochey of course but kids can relate to it. They can picture themselves excited about their team winning. It shows the meaning of sports and team supportive fan.I recommend this book to all hockey fans.... ages 4 and up. The story is really well told and easy for the kids to follow.will be a really good addition to kids library.

My 4 yr old son is all about hockey these days but it's hard to find hockey books to read before bed overnight. We found 'Z Is for Zamboni: A Hockey Alphabet' by Matt Napier which he loves but after reading it almost 100 times, we needed to broaden our selection of hockey books. Luckily I found this gem of a book by Michael Dahl. It's a quick read which is great but fun and colorful. The story flows like the words of a poem and it's illustrations are top notch. My son and his parents love this book.

I bought this book for 3 year old twins and they love it! The pictures are very colorful and the story is cute!

My 2 year old grandson is obsessed with hockey. Everything is a stick or a puck. I have purchased 3 of these so he could have it at home and his grandparents houses. He sleeps with it and asks to read it all the time. He will even quote lines from the book. Loves to tell us that he is going to bed to have his hockey dream. The hockey rhymes and pictures make it very entertaining for little ones.

Cute book, perfect for our 3 year old who loves hockey. We initially were reading this book on the kindle through prime reading for free. We read it so many times I decided it’d be nice to have a real copy.

Very well written and pictures are well illustrated. I purchased this as an intro to the sport, for a toddler who will be learning more about hockey before he goes to his first game as a little spectator, I also bought a Franklin hockey net that game with 2 toddler sized sticks and soft balls to further interest him in the game.

For any young (3-5 years old) hockey lover. Short story with great pictures.

Beautifully illustrated, nice book. This is such a great gift for your little hockey lover. My only gripe is the pages somehow didn't come cut all the way (as in some pages were connected at the top). This was easily fixed with scissors but I probably wouldn't have gifted it to anyone other than my son because its not totally uniform.

I have a national radio show and my YouTube content has been mostly just posting the audio of my radio shows with a single still graphic (although one short documentary I did has more than 700,000 views). Yes, people do 'listen' to radio shows on YouTube, but most of my listens are from iTunes downloads. I began watching some of Sean and Benji's videos a couple of months ago and got motivated to start creating videos that made more sense for YouTube. I don't do a lot of Amazon book reviews, but wanted to get one up quickly on this book as I think it will help so many people. So, I follow these guys and I thought I would buy this because I actually love their content. However, this book is not worth your time if you have been doing YouTube for awhile and have also watched most of the Video Influences and Think Media content. There is not much new in this book that I have not already learned from watching them and others on YouTube.With that being said if you are just starting out then it is a great help and covers the most important topics for beginners. The book does not take that deep dive for established creators, but beginners will find it helpful.I did pick up a few things for the book, so it was not a total waste, but I was expecting a lot more! This is NOT an ultimate guide, it's a novice guide for those who have not done any research yet. I was looking to get some more deep dive, in depth advice, training, and examples to go to the next level and this book failed in that regards.

I posted my first youtube video back in 2013 and got videos that ranked. After awhile I got overwhelmed and lost my focus. I discovered Video Influencers through Benji's wife, Judy, which then introduced me to Sean and his Thinkmedia channel. Between Sean and Benji they sparked that excitement to restart and rebrand my channel but with meaningful focus. I received this book earlier than expected and I'm only on chapter 2 but it already has post it's throughout. The book is nothing less than expected and I already feel the gears in my head thinking deep on the whys. For anyone that needs encouragement or fear of starting this book is for you.

Did not find one "Secret" in this book. Very basic and the info is very general. No secrets. All the info and more is available for free. Time waste. Save your money. Very hypedThe book is padded and filled with hype. Chapter One does not even start until page 27 - large text - very broad margins - double spaced - black pages - appendix - this book can be condensed to about 50 to 75 pages. Take out the small talk and there is nothing left. A comic book of marketing. Found nothing original. Found no "Secrets"

My first exposure to the Black Panther world. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

With the new Black Panther movie looking astonishingly good from its trailers, a timely Amazon sale sent some of the recent comics starring the King of Wakanda tumbling my way.Well, I suppose from 2016, so not the most recent - but the run by Ta-Nehisi Coates has been raved about by fellow fans of T'Challa so it was about time I took a look.I've long been a fan of Black Panther - I tend to gravitate towards heroes who aren't mighty gods or universe-menacing Phoenixes - and so the combination of genius scientist and stealthy warrior has long appealed.I'll confess, though, that I'm awfully glad that I bought book two at the same time as book one. Coates takes his time to find his feet with his story - or rather, more to the point, he has a big story to tell but sometimes in volume one rushes through the actual telling, and you end up piecing a couple of the parts of the tale together in your head rather than reading it on the page. He's much more in his stride by the second volume, so if you find yourself put off a little by the opening collection, stick with it, it comes together much better as the issues go by.The story itself tackles the tale of Black Panther as king, fighting to hold together his kingdom from threats within and without. He isn't all-seeing or all-wise, rather he's a man underneath the legend, making political choices that might not always be for the best, but are mostly made with the best intentions.The tale tackles issues of nationalism, identity, monarchism and democracy - weighty matters that go beyond the usual supervillain hokum of many comics. Sometimes, that strays into territory of infodumping, but as I say, the method of telling the story keeps improving.I'm not terribly sure it will serve as a great introduction to readers for the Black Panther movie - but it's a powerful look at the world the comics character inhabits - with a wider landscape than his stories are often afforded.

This reprints the first four issues of the current Black Panther series plus it includes a reprint of the Fantastic Four issue that was the first appearance of the character.Something for both new fans and old timers like me.

Ta-nehisi Coates crafts a brilliant comic in his first turn as writer for Black Panther. The tale addresses tradition, power dynamics, and oppression in a way that brings life and current themes into the comic that I look forward to seeing on the silver screen. Volume 1 sets up a conflict between two nations, a system of oppression between two peoples, and the legacy of the kingdom. I look forward to reading Volume 2.

I read through a bunch of reviews of this book that didn't think to highly of it. Admittedly, it isn't as action filled as other superhero comics, but those are a dime a dozen. I'm glad that this book ended up being something different because it takes a chance on appealing to a different audience and I think it works wonderfully.First off, this book opens with the Black Panther returning to a broken Wakanda. It's not literally broken; instead it is broken in spirit. The people have lost faith in their leader after several incursions from outside forces. Various warlords are seeking to take control of different parts of the nation and the common people are cracking. How can this nation be brought whole again and what will the Black Panther's role be in it?I've never read a Black Panther story before so I didn't really have any expectations on what this book would be. This gives a good history of Wakanda and the Black Panther, and I enjoyed the political aspects of it as well. There are a couple of outlaws that are working to help the people without actively acting against the country's leadership (so far). I liked the characters despite not being familiar with most of them beforehand.The art is fantastic. There are some really gorgeous sections. I could easily see this being the favorite part of many readers. There are some sections of the book that are kind of dry. This volume aims to set the scene for the hero in many ways and prep for future events. I think it succeeds and I am looking forward to reading the next volume.

This is a great book that holds true to the original theme. The modern flavor injected by Coates is great. The greatest addition was the inclusion of the Black Panther introduced in Fantastic Four. It shows his cunning, ability, and means. Such a great collection. On to the next one!

These books are great, I'd recommend anything by Ta-Nehisi Coates based on the perfection accomplished here. Thank you!
