I found myself losing touch with the series by the beginning of this book, and by the end, I knew I would not read another book in the series. Somehow the commitment to violence and power that made sense in the beginning didn't seem as necessary as a first option as the main character gained power of his own. Also, somehow we went from a plan to save the world and defeat the demons to a plan to eventually have to abandon the world and move somewhere else, all because of a poorly specified vision. I think things made a wrong turn somewhere along the way--one that doesn't seem to be either good art or personally appealing to me as a reader.
Generally speaking this was a good read, except for the Boss fight. Some spoilers follow 😬😬😬😬If you know that your enemy can make magic jewelry, and you have the opportunity to remove that jewelry, you should do so. Stevie isn't supposed to be an idiot. He should have blinded and cut off the hands of Bart, so the whole set up for the boss fight was flawed. SD plainly stated that he didn't care about a fair fight, and then goes out of his way to have one. Just plain stupid.I considered knocking it to 3 stars, because that was just bad writing. Tom out
I hope the Author continues to write and does not grow bored of the storyline. I’m curious to see where the story leads. If you have enjoyed the previous books in the series this one will not disappoint.
This book is great. Very well written, some editing errors. (Misspelled words, grammar errors. In other words simple mistakes that don't detract from the overall enjoyment of the reading experience.Overall, I would say that this book is even better than the last one. I can not wait for the next one to come out.I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good adult Sci-fi / Fantasy book. (with a harem twist.😊)
Wonderful continuation of the story line. Interesting new characters and situations. I read it in 2 days because I couldn't put it down. A definite must read.
Just like the last few this book flows well, is a lot of fun and is hard to put down. Looking forward to the next one!
